Classwork (1th Semester)
All the reflections are below the description of the activity!
Week 1
On Week 1 (12 August-18 August) the topic was Personal Introductions, the teacher made the newer classmates (me) talk with the ones that were already on the group and made a little introduction of ourselves in Word.
My reflection is that as a new student in this university is important for me to socialize and to get to know my classmates, and also of how the teacher works.
Here is the Week 1 Mini Task:
Autobiography
My name is Loreley and I'm 17 years old. I was born in Aguascalientes, Ags. My birthday is on August 26th, I go by she/her. One of my favorite things are playing the guitar, texting my girlfriend, coming to school, this last thing is because this is the career that I wanted since middle school. Also, I like to listen to music or listen to podcasts on Spotify. My family consists of my two parents and my sister and brother. I'm the oldest of them, then my brother (15 yo) and last my sister (14 yo). Being the eldest is an impossible mission and a blessing at the same time, but I love my family. Well, now I'm gonna tell you about things that I'm afraid of, like the rain, like a storm, spiders, snakes, cockroaches, high places and generally natural disasters. One of my favorite music artists is The Weeknd and my favorite song by him is Out of Time of the album Dawn FM. I also like Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Depeche Mode, Evanescence, Guns & Roses, Måneskin among others.

My reflection is that I really learned that we as teachers need to know this type of information and of how to stay healthy, also I learned how to write a story (grammar).

Week 4
On Week 4 the topic was Travel & Tourism, the activity was that the teacher gave us a fictional family and we needed to make an interary and seeing if we can afford the travel expenses to a certain bugdet and we did th activity in teams.
My reflection is how to accomodate a budget for a trip, also how to organize in teams and also to investigate some turistic places around Mexico or the world.
Here is the Week 4 Mini Task:
Family 2: The Johnsons
- Names: Mark, Lisa, and Emily (10)

DANY
The travel agency "Fadeni Lorelaby", crated a beautiful itinerary for Mark´s family[DE1] [BS2] including adventure sport, wildlife, and some cultural experiences with destiny to Puerto Escondido in Oaxaca, Mexico. Due to boredom, Mark, his wife Lisa, and her little daughter decided to travel from Tampa Florida to Oaxaca for 10 days. Because Mark´s daughter loves the beach, the best option for the family is to travel on vacation time, and Lisa wants to travel on January eight to 18 f[BS3] or the next year. Traveling with Aeromexico airline, Mark´s family have flight departure time at 3:53 PM , but they will have one stop connecting in Mexico City spending 2:35 minutes on the airport. After that, the family will take the next flight to Oaxaca arriving at 10:35 PM the first four days are destinated to spend the time in a beautiful hotel in Puerto Escondido named "Casa Mochila" with 4.8 almost 5 starts it is very close to the beach making seven minutes from there, for the first day on January eight they will spend the first night in the hotel. Casa Mochila includes transportation, so they do not have to worry about it, and on January 9th the reservation is for a spa day to de-stress. So, the total price for the four days is $464.00 dollars, and it is $40 dollars for the spa day.
LORE
So, on January 10th Mark and his family have planned to go to "Café Los Cuiles", that is near the hotel to eat breakfast, after that they are going to return to the hotel they are staying at, then at 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. all the family will go to an adventure on kayak on Huatulco Amanecer, they will navigate through the river and pass a good experience and return to the hotel at 5:00 p.m., later on they are going to see baby turtles hatch and crawl to the ocean, totally a magic experience, the hotel includes that event so is included with it, but it costs $123 per person, so it's going to be $369 in total, after that they will return to the hotel to eat dinner at 8:00 p.m. and then going to sleep at 10:00 p.m.
On January 11th the family is going to eat breakfast on "Las Quince Letras" is a place down the street of the hotel, so they eat and then return to the hotel to check out at 11:00 a.m., they have an appointment at 12:00 p.m. to go on a tour all around the city, the government have a special ticket for tourists that is $26.3 per person, so the family will see the different places of Oaxaca and the antique buildings, also they are going to see some traditional dances like "La danza de los viejitos" and more.

At midday the family will go to rent a small car for 4 people and some luggage that they need, for the rental of the car would be $ 10 dollars per day and for the remaining days that the family is 6 and are already $ 60 dollars. For the rest of the day the family will take a break to adapt to the car and get to know a little bit of Oaxaca. In the afternoon they will visit the Museum of Cultures, as it meets their interests of wanting to know about the culture and a little of the past of Oaxaca. The entrance ticket to the museum would be $28 dollars because it is a whole tour.
For day 13 the agency planned for them to visit a nice cabin called Rancho Viejo, San Jose del Pacifico which is where they would spend the rest of their vacation. The cabin is designed for an environment where they can relax with a nice view, and also includes free parking, a morning bike ride and room service. The first activity for the family would be a morning ride from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, and then the family can pass out cutlery for samples. In the evening we will make a bonfire, the cabin for those cases the agency will provide materials such as desserts and food and you can enjoy a sunset from the cabin.
Gaby
On January 14th Mark and Lisa are taking Emily to a painting class. This class have a cost of $7 dollars and on this class she is going to paint turtles. Emily will have the chance to feed turtles ane get more knowledge about the life of the turtles. The cost of the tour will be $61 dollars and they will have the chance to taste all the different types of mezcal, a reservation in the mezcaleria's restaurant and a bottle of mezcal that is made there.
On January 15th the family have a reservation in a fancy restaurant. The restaurant have a dress code very formal and they will have to pay $200 dollars. In this place they are going to taste all the most famous Mexican gourmet food with one of the best chefs in Mexico. The principal dish will be rosemary stuffed potatoes, then the main course will be "Chiles en nogada" which is one of the best dishes in Mexico, and as dessert a bread with Mexican chocolate.
Faty
On September 16th, as the family embarks on a gastronomic tour at San José del Pacífico. They will visit three restaurants indulging in a variety of local dishes. This experience will allow them to discover authentic flavors and appreciate the region's rich culinary heritage. They will have the opportunity to explore the vibrant city center. With every bite, they will approach deeper into the culture and traditions of San José del Pacífico. The first restaurant that we recommend is "Teonanácatl", with a wide range of traditional dishes and delicious desserts for $100 approximated. Then "La Casa de Toño" with delicious seafood and meat dishes they can anticipate spending between 90-120 USD. And last, but not least "El Fogoncito" with a rustic but warm atmosphere offers delicious food for approximately 80 USD. On September 17th, they will have a day to prepare for departure. Take time to pack and finish details, ensuring readiness for farewell. This day allows them to recharge and reflect on shared experiences. Enjoy tranquility and appreciate created memories. They can also do last-minute shopping or explore unvisited places. On September 18th, the family will gather for a farewell breakfast and cherish their last moments together. They will proceed to the airport, where their return plane tickets have been booked, ensuring a smooth journey back. Then, after completing the necessary activities, they carry with them the beautiful memories of their extraordinary adventure in San José del Pacífico.

@BENJAMIN LEE STEWART Hello teacher, could you tell me if my paragraph is correct? [DE1]
Originality score: https://app.originality.ai/share/06qysi2n5vdruegt [BS2]
You can avoid the ordinal numbers and say, "January 8 to 18..." With dates, you may use numbers only (including numbers zero through nine). :) [BS3]
Week 5
On this Week 5 the topic was Technology and we talked about food and recipes, we formed groups of four people and talked about a dish and the recipe then answer some questions. The next day we talked about our favorite dishes on a 50 minute long video and made a transcription of it.
My reflection is that I also get to know my classmates likes and dislikes on food, also that is really important for us that we need to know how to express ourselves and talk about our likes.
Here is the Week 5 Reading Assignment and Week 5 Mini Task:
Question 2.- How do the ingredients used in the recipe reflect the local geography and climate?
Based on the information, The Italian people aren’t the ones who made this recipe
entirely, the ingredients were powdered egg, bacon and cream, those were things
that soldiers had in their Ration K (Special food for soldiers, that were small and
light) then the news about the new dish spread and the people in Rome begin to do
the dish, after some time , the Italians made a version of the Carbonara using the
same ingredients but using pasta made there, and instead of bacon they use
guanciale (pork cheek) and parmesian cheese, Italy is one of the biggest producers
of cheese, and they use cows and goats to make the cheese, and this cheese is
made from farms or fabrics, but those animals are placed on rural spaces and also
the porks, and i say that the climate does not affect the recipe or the creation of the
ingredients.

High or our team is Team 7. The team consists in Abigail, George, and me. Lorelei and
we are talking. We are going to talk about. Recipes and our favorite dishes. We are
starting with Jorge. What's your favorite dish?
Orador 2
My favorite dish is carbonara. If you don't know what it is, it's like a pizza recipe, but I
like it a lot because it is. Kind of a rolling process, so I don't know. I like the food, which
is like very tasty and also looks good. Basically it has like traditional ingredients from
the place it becomes like tomatoes and also like some. Some plants to keep better,
better taste in the in the food. And what about you and her? What's your? Recipe.
Orador 3
Well, my my recipe is lasagna. It's actually my favorite desk and well, lasagna is a
great guest room. Baked casserole made with a white flat pasta and layered with
f
illings such as Ragu. Vegetable, vegetables and berries, cheeses and actually my
mom always prepares lasagna with. Meat and it's delicious. My favorite meal. Which
one is yours? Humana.
Orador 4
Bell my recipe is spaghetti and meatballs. I really like spaghetti and pastas in general,
and I think there is a good combination with meat and the tomato sauce I think. Well, I
have a. A variation of my recipe. I usually cook it by myself for my family and I actually
act like this pieces of carrot to the tomato sauce and. And and normally mix it with the
meat before doing the meatballs and I really like that because sometimes the a lot of
meat, it could be too much. So I like to mix it with some vegetables. And you clearly.
Orador 1
My favorite dish is our chili. I like it a lot because by me I like to cook a lot. I do like
ramen or other things that involves pasta, meat, shrimp or something like. And I do by
myself. I just put some chili, Serrano onions, red onion.
Orador
Oh.
Orador 2
Lemon.
Orador 1
And that's the green. No chili. I want to try to do black our chili because when I think
about it, like my mom. Waters because it's so good and I learned to do that dish
because of my mom. My mom cooks a lot and cooks very.
Orador 2
Good. That's great.
Orador 3
What's? Friends between green and white chili and. Black and white chili.
Orador 1
The Greenway Chile turns the color green because of the. The cilantro and the chili
Serrano and the black one is made from tortilla comma with burned tortilla. That you
burn it like to and to get, like, carbonized and then you. Liquify them and put it on the
sauce, but it doesn't like taste bad. Tastes good.
Orador
Yeah. Wow.
Orador 1
That's how you do it, but I. Never do it. Before. But I want to try.
Orador
You should.
Orador 1
It.
Orador 2
And do you clean these frames or?
Orador 1
Yes, I I do everything like to do the sauce to chop the vegetables and to clean the trim
and so very tired.
Orador 2
Yes, that's the most tired process, the cleaning.
Orador 1
Yes, and sometimes I just, like, get sick, like, get nauseous because of the because I
still out doing the cleaning and. I don't like.
Orador 2
That, and it's very, very dirty. Well, they said like it, the shrimps are like cockroaches
from the sea. Are you agree with it?
Orador 1
Yes. Yes, that's correct. They're the cockroaches.
Orador 4
That that's.
Orador 2
Well, that's religious.
Orador 1
So yes, you do. You do. You prepare the dish or do you just buy it?
Orador 2
Uh, I bought the things in order to to make it in to make it. It's like like the. How can I
say it the? How do you say arena flower the flower, and then you put like a oil olive oil
to add to make the? That more delicious and well then you put, like the tomato sauce
that it's make made it in Vestal of little tomatoes, like cherry tomatoes.
Orador 1
Yes.
Orador 2
And then you put like the. The Romero that it's like a flower. Yeah, and. You add it to the
mix and then you put like the cheese.
Orador 1
What kind of?
Orador 2
Cheese and mozzarella cheese. And when I don't have mozzarella, I put like queso
Gouda cheese, Gouda and I have like. Uh. Like ham and or pepperoni or salami? It
depends. Yeah, but it's like kind of. Picks A thing basically just it's. It's Rowlett.
Orador 1
OK. And you, well, you're really explain how you do it, but do you have any other
version or do you want to see that other way?
Orador 4
Well. Sometimes it's just part of the time I make my version with vegetables. But
sometimes I actually cook it. When? Maybe when I don't have all the ingredients, I
cook it the normal way, yeah.
Orador 1
Cheaper version, yes.
Orador 4
And you have help.
Orador 3
Well, actually I do not cook. I'm pretty bad at the kitchen, but my mom is. It's it's great
to be honest. And she. That's some other vegetables like potatoes and carrots, and it's
it's it's great. It's delicious.
Orador 1
Do you have any other things that you have in mind? Well, I have like, how can I say it?
My mom does that it's like. Mix with a. Onion. Potatoes. Sausage and do it like in in a
color and it's so great. I'm like.
Orador 2
Yes. Yeah, it's like a.
Orador 1
It's like a like a.
Orador 2
To revive.
Orador 1
Yeah. Yes. When you are like drunk, yes.
Orador 2
Yeah, I really like that my father cooks, cooks it in, like in special occasions. Like when
the people come and visit us to make. To make barbecues on and those things, yeah.
So like in special times and well, it's very good because he puts like a lot of chilies on
the mix and it's very spicy, but also so the dishes.
Orador 1
Ohh yeah. Yes, also. Hungover. Yes. Well, my mom does it when there's nothing left on
the fridge, and that's the only thing that are in the fridge.
Orador 2
Yeah.
Orador 1
Let's go and do a free holiday channel, but she doesn't cook on the. Stove she cooks
with Lena with. So that's another flavor. I mean, sounds good. My mouth. Yes. My
mom is from highschool, so they cook with Lena, with my stick with Mesquite. Yes.
And it's so, so delicious. But it's like a it's not a small pot.
Orador 2
Yes, of course. With lenya man.
Orador 1
Like a big pot and we are four people living in the same house, but the that bug empty.
Orador 2
In one day.
Orador 1
Yes, one or two days.
Orador 2
Ohh that's good yes.
Orador 1
Do you have any other dish in? Mind. That you like a lot. That maybe your.
Orador 2
Or something that you buy that likes you too much.
Orador 4
Yes, the.
Orador 3
Well, I really like Italian food. I like pizzas. I like some other kinds of pasta. But yeah, I
think Bolognese, spaghetti, spaghetti Bolognese. It's also one of my favorite dishes.
And well, it's basically just pasta and spaghettis form, and it has some meat. Yeah.
Orador 2
Meet. I don't know. Maybe.
Orador
Based.
Orador 3
And tomato sauce. It's it's, it's rich as well. It's so tasty. Which one is yours?
Orador 4
Yeah, as I said, I really like pasta. For example, my mom has a I think a very special
recipe.
Orador
Here.
Orador 4
For pasta Alfredo. Well, well, maybe not different from the other versions, but I think it
is pretty delicious. The one that she makes. And normally she use better chili pasta. I
think. What is that? The flat one? Yeah. I think I I don't know if that's the real name.
Well, the correct name and she makes a kind of sour sweet cream and cheese. And it
sound very, I don't know. In a lot of ways, species or like spice, spice, yeah. And the
pieces of chicken. And usually, as I said, we like to add more vegetables too or food
and she.
Orador
Oh.
Orador 4
Usually you use Bros. To complement the best.
Orador 2
And do you like it?
Orador 4
Yeah, it's my favorite food.
Orador 2
Wow, your family is from Mexico and. All your tests or just your mom or something?
Orador 4
Yeah, my moment that I lost some my family are from there, but I have a small part of
my family living here, so yeah.
Orador 2
And your family cooks something, some food related to Mexico or something
traditional.
Orador 4
Well, not all, but we use like let's say. Some things that probably you will say like the
expression chilango like for example the one that is called, it's yeah.
Orador 2
Uh-huh. I'll talk that with a tamal, right?
Orador 1
Yeah. Ohh. You don't cook with with the quiche.
Orador
Hello. With your coaching.
Orador 4
Yeah, sometimes my mom do it. So good. Yeah, which is.
Orador 2
It is like corn with fungi, right? Or something like that.
Orador 1
Yes, yes. Or sometimes when my my grandma is from there. So. So she cooks like a.
Puertos so good is like a tortilla and chicken and is fried. So then you then you, you
know, because the turtle is still like.
Orador 2
What is that? Like cloud beta.
Orador 1
You can teach you it, and then you pour the the green sauce made with with.
Orador 2
Alright, so the the the lights like a bit a thicker.
Orador 1
Only only just fried with a little bit of oil and then you so good you serve with with
cream and with a case of fresco.
Orador 3
And do you think that Sudan and Mexico's street food is better than ours? Caliente
strip.
Orador 4
Yeah. Is that maybe I really like to eat all kind of things. And one thing I notice there is
for example, when you say torta, there is actually a kind of style that we like to call.
Mexico City style of torta, but we haven't been able to find like that specific style here.
Orador 1
Oh. Also, with tacos, it's not the same in every place on Jalisco. They're very good. The
the meat is like fresh. You have every every new meat with every day, every morning
the the battery have a new, a new meet and the the longer tacos.
Orador 4
Yeah.
Orador
Let's.
Orador 1
Oh my God, so good. And also the sauce. It's like very spicy and I like the spicy very.
Much.
Orador 3
Yes. And actually it's like every region in Jalisco, for example, San Juan de Los Lagos
has his own style of tacos. So it's actually so interesting as well.
Orador
Yeah.
Orador 1
Yes. And also with other meat, sometimes it's not the same, but I like more.
Orador 2
And what's your favorite place of street food here?
Orador 1
Well, it's like close to my my home. It's like when it's some tacos, tacos. The name is
tacos. Arandas so good. And they they put the tacos with the tortilla, with the meat
and then beans. And they say, Oh my God, so good. And they put Nepalis and then
like, yes.
Orador
Great.
Orador 2
And potato. Ohh. It's like a Jalisco style or something like that.
Orador 1
But it's. So good. I like it. Or maybe the Tamale is so good.
Orador 2
I will say that, but actually I know a place. It's a very, very. Basic place that you go, it's
like a shop cart and you ask for potatoes and they are like the chips, you know, so you
ask for a big chips and.
Orador 1
Ohh. Like a tortilla.
Orador 2
Yeah. And they put like a lot of burritos and the most spicy.
Orador 1
Hello.
Orador 2
Yeah, that's the spicy sauce in the. World I really like that place a lot. Like a lot.
Orador 1
OK.
Orador 2
Yeah, it's near from Hardin Carpio. I know, I guess.
Orador 1
Just close to the wall.
Orador 2
To Hardin Carpio, you know where you sit.
Orador 1
I don't.
Orador 3
Know. Yeah, like in the center of the city. Yeah, downtown in downtown.
Orador 1
Ohh. Oh my God. You have any?
Orador 3
Well, I'm in this case about. Street food. I really like tacos. I always go to. Live eagle.
Orador
We're.
Orador 1
Oh yeah. Ohh yes, yes.
Orador 3
Yeah, it's in, in a place in El Barrio, San Marcos, and it's called a taqueria. San Marcos.
And it's it's it's so good. It's actually.
Orador 1
Oh, I know. Amazing. So clearly. Yes, we onion now. Yeah. Yeah, so good. I I think.
Orador 3
Yeah. They they feel like ego liver.
Orador 2
Yes, a lot. But when I was a kid. I really hate it. But then I grew up and I recognized his
superiority.
Orador 3
Yeah, I don't eat anything.
Orador 1
I don't like beans. Like. I don't know I. Don't want it, but as I grew up, I was like, that's
very tasty.
Orador 3
That's why I always love the.
Orador 1
Yes. And also the was so good. It's good when you have even your spend. Revives you.
Orador 2
Yeah, like the shrimp soup.
Orador 1
Oh.
Orador 2
That's very delicious, but let's talk about something else that it's not food because I'm
hungry. I'm hungry.
Orador 1
No, we need. We need to talk about about food.
Orador 2
Well, what's the? The most strange thing that you have text.
Orador 1
Oh my God.
Orador 2
Ah, that's not strange.
Orador 1
Yeah, but I didn't know about it. You know, it was like a really special kid when I, when
it comes to food. Do you like it anymore? Yes, I like it. Which has that so good. You
need to try it. But when my mom do a casino, that is the the Twitter with with veggies. I
don't like it. I was like, how do you eat that? That is so like Jelly.
Orador 2
And do you like it? It is like.
Orador 1
And I didn't like it when I was a. Kid. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now that I grew up, I like it. And
with Chaska 11 time, my mom took me to try that. The Chaska with that with that.
Orador 2
Where is that?
Orador 1
It's. I don't know, I don't remember. But it was so good. It was like a like a big, I don't
know. Line line, yes. Just try another. Like. Good. And it was not very expensive. It was.
Orador 2
Damn. Cheap like how many? How much?
Orador 1
30.
Orador 2
Why?
Orador 1
We'll do it. And you're like, ohh good. Wow, but. A strenuous thing, yes.
Orador 2
Which part of the city is that? I'm gonna search about it. The most stranger thing I ever
taste. I think that it's.
Orador 1
Oriente. Yes, it was so good.
Orador 2
The.
Orador 1
So good. What do you mean?
Orador 2
And yes, I like it with guacamole. And it's like a Taco. I don't know. It's taste very, very
strange. Like spicy and a little bit of. Like if you take a bunch of bunch of. Meat and
also a bunch of of pasta of wheat. I don't know. Yeah.
Orador 1
Yeah. Well, they're good. One time I go to wakita. It's from, yes. So good. Yes. Wakita is
a restaurant from.
Orador 2
Shaquita there are. Yes, I know.
Orador 1
Because and I go there one time. Yes. So good. And that was the first time I tried
pulling this.
Orador 3
OK.
Orador
Wow.
Orador 1
It was so. Good. And so we.
Orador 3
This is like.
Orador 2
Have you ever. Try the the the Shields the seashells.
Orador 1
Oh yeah, the oysters, yes. Yeah, good.
Orador 2
Yeah, I really like it. A lot also about some people don't like it.
Orador 1
I don't like the texture.
Orador 4
How do you can think of?
Orador
Are.
Orador 4
Kind of food. It's a strange food. Yeah, because all the things I remember, I eat it for
normal things like street food, then do. Do normal kind of you know? And I really like to
eat vegetables, food and a lot of dishes and eat lose that.
Orador 1
But I actually can think of something weird that I tried before. Try to think about for
eating food. Maybe like tofu. I see that some people like Angela.
Orador 2
Angela, that's different from Angela's house or something like that.
Orador 1
Snake. Uh, different?
Orador 3
Well, actually it's not that weird, but when I was a boy, I tried squid.
Orador 2
Squid like squirrel, no?
Orador 1
Yes.
Orador
Right.
Orador 2
Ah. Alright, alright, squidward.
Orador 3
And well, we're seeing in Marie's career and I really didn't like, I think it was because I
was a kid and that's the main reason. But I would like to taste it again now that. Older
and I think I will. I like my skills so I will give squid one more chance so.
Orador
You should.
Orador 1
You need to. Try it with Takoyaki so good, yeah.
Orador 2
What's that?
Orador 1
Japanese, you can say a. Snack. That is like a dog. With squid, or maybe you wanted
other other meat and it's like about and you have any massage and fish flakes so good.
And you can find it on market.
Orador 2
Let's go.
Orador 1
Yes, I tried there and it was so good.
Orador 2
Let's go.
Orador 1
I really like I should put no because I'm like Taco, but now I don't know. But I like about
like, ramen. And I also like the dark one. Oh, my God. The spices.
Orador 3
Yeah. Yeah. It's like with spicy, right?
Orador 1
It's Korean actually, and I like it.
Orador
Oh.
Orador 1
A lot I should. Have one pack of carbonara, bulldog and. I'm waiting for the. The right
time because I like it a lot like rum and I try sushi like strange sushi sushi roll that is on
special or yeah, they sell that we're sushi, but I I want to try it.
Orador 3
Yeah, I really like sushi. But now you you were talking about pullback and well, and I
hate like maroon chance or bulk bags because when I was a kid, I.
Orador
Speak.
Orador 3
Yeah, I get sick and.
Orador 2
To eating a.
Orador 3
Lot of the, yeah, I I was like, I was like pie. And from now 16 years ago, I haven't tried
the single maruchan. And I I think I won't ever again try maruchan.
Orador 1
Well, well.
Orador 3
Never.
Orador 2
But do you eat it like like a lot of days or like?
Orador 3
Not really, I think.
Orador 2
Did just did.
Orador 3
It. Yeah, I mean it's like. And yeah, that's.
Orador 2
All but you. Get sick like you got sick like. A lot of days or.
Orador 3
Yeah, a lot of days and I didn't even went to school. I was really sick and I. I went to the
hospital for a few days.
Orador 1
It was horrible.
Orador 2
And what do you think? That's what's the reason about that?
Orador 3
Because it's like. Chemicals.
Orador 1
No, you said some plastic. You disagree? No. It's based on quarantine every.
Orador 3
I don't know what to say, yeah.
Orador 1
But yeah, say that, but you can you can be like he was inspired.
Orador 2
They say they.
Orador 3
Yes, excuses, excuses.
Orador 2
Yes, very good. How many words do you think that we have? Do you think that we?
Alright, so we take a little break to take a little bit of water and what do you think, Mina,
do you like the mariscos, the shrimps, the seafood?
Orador 4
Well, not at all. I I mean, not exactly like dishes and. Only seafood, but maybe mix it
with other things.
Orador 2
For example, like in the seafood restaurants, you ask for example, like a little fish, a
mojarra we call here and we you got served that with a portion of that the full fish. But
they also give you like the.
Orador 3
It's rice.
Orador 2
Salad like the the rice, the rice and also like things to do to being mixing it. Uh. Would
you like that or do you don't?
Orador 3
Like a cottage.
Orador 4
Or something. Yeah, no.
Orador 2
Like read that.
Orador 4
Will like to see the cocktail shrimp cocktail and lot of fun of that. Or maybe fish soup. I
I don't like that. Just mix it with other things or maybe like you say that dish.
Orador 2
Yeah. All right. I haven't met somebody who doesn't like it too much like. No.
Orador 1
Well, I have a friend that is allergic to shrimp, so.
Orador
Uh.
Orador 2
Maybe he's not only he's he. He ate like one who was.
Orador 1
No.
Orador 2
Because when I was a kid, I also thought that both. Then I recognized that it was like
one time I ate it and it makes me feels bad. Like life and health.
Orador 3
Yeah, it it happened to me when I it. It's not like they're not pregnant, but well, it was in
Feria de San Marcos. So I guess the.
Orador 2
Yeah, streams.
Orador 1
Pregnant streams.
Orador
Uh.
Orador 3
The place. Didn't look so clean to be honest. So I think that would be the reason.
Orador 1
We try it on a restaurant, it's going to be good, but.
Orador 2
No, nothing, nothing. So. So do you want to taste it? Let's try it. And they?
Orador 1
No, I mean you too. Didn't she lose her favor?
Orador 3
Yeah. Yeah.
Orador 2
Thought they taste good or or not.
Orador 3
I like the Brazos, but not at that time. Yeah, with some beer or michelada or.
Something like that, it's.
Orador
Great.
Orador 2
Please be here.
Orador 3
Highly recommend.
Orador 1
Any. Since you are a. Flying person. You want to hear some of your. Just to from the
restaurants from here.
Orador 4
To go, yeah, especially because I'm not a person that goes out a lot to eat. So I really
would like to know about new places and try some of their food. Do you have some
recommendations?
Orador 2
Hmm.
Orador 1
Kimura from soy sauce, chili. They also have it's good, but the weight is from too long.
That is great. They also sell sushi. Do you know the the soda that is with the little ball?
That you pressed. And with the the gas do you do you? Yes, but I can't remember. Well,
they sell them here. So good. Where is the place? I'm going to send you the.
Orador 4
Really. The closest. Location. Yeah. Thank you. And do you have some
recommendations?
Orador 1
Restaurant.
Orador 2
Yes, I truly recommend Tora Sushi. There are a place in the downtown and there are
also one close to here like. Uh. Near from Universidad and in the street, independence
and well, it is very, very good. They have, like the promotion too, in one price, in the
price of 1. So yes, it it is very, very big. Their their their roles because in some places
they are like very, very small and there are like monster rolls and they have like a lot of
meat and.
Orador 4
Uh, yes.
Orador 2
My lunch also.
Orador 1
Do you have?
Orador 3
Any well, if you like me. I highly recommend you to go to. Pasador or for example Las
Cosas, Sancho. Basically all my birthdays are in Las Costillas de Sancho, because I
really like revi. So I yeah, it's it's all about me to be.
Orador 1
Ohh me too.
Orador 3
Honest. But yeah, if you like. Me, I highly recommend you to go to.
Orador 2
But it makes expensive, right?
Orador
Nothing.
Orador 3
Ah yes it is, but it's some special occasion. It's all right.
Orador 2
Yes, of course. They of course.
Orador
Yeah, it was amazing it.
Orador 1
You want to go for breakfast, you can go to Las and torches. It's on the central. So
good they last and the last with us. Uh, my God, they're they're good. Yes, so good.
And there's the the place is always like full. But the weight is not well and you.
Orador 2
Where is less than torches. Oh.
Orador 1
Can you very good for not not surprising.
Orador
Oh.
Orador 1
Very good place to go for breakfast. You want to eat something with good for
breakfast?
Orador 2
And for a romantic place.
Orador 1
You want on the romantic place close to my home, there is a cafe there is for for
couples.
Orador 2
How is called?
Orador 1
I will I. Once I go there with my girlfriend so.
Orador 2
Where do you live? Mr.
Orador 1
Yes. So far.
Orador 2
It's where you live. Near right or.
Orador
I.
Orador 2
Don't know where is this.
Orador 1
Coffee shops. They're so good.
Orador 3
Yeah, actually, if you have a date, I highly recommend you La Casa del Centro. It's like
a coffee shop and it's. It's well, the food is isn't exactly great, but the place is really
cool and it's like. So so pretty like to take photos and upload to social media.
Orador 1
Is the one that is Asian, like or is the one that is white, white and black. Because there
is one cafeteria. It's white and black and it's like a cartoon.
Orador 3
No, that's not it.
Orador 2
You you're talking about the one that looks like a comic book, right?
Orador 1
Yes, yeah, I I recommend you to go there.
Orador 2
I don't know. It's tricky for me. I will being like.
Orador
Ohh I don't know.
Orador 2
It's too white for me. I will feel like kind of crazy there.
Orador 4
Yes.
Orador 2
Hmm. And well. Do you truly think that a first date in a coffee period? It's a good idea?
Orador 3
Great idea.
Orador 1
Yes.
Orador 2
Yeah. Why? Because what you're only sitting there just watching each other.
Orador 3
Doesn't mean. Because you have the chance to know the other person. And to talk
about.
Orador 2
That you when you date somebody, that's the the the place that you take them or.
Orador 3
Well, not exactly because I haven't had so much dates recently, but I got one like a
month ago and it's a.
Orador 4
It's a good choice here, yes.
Orador 1
Well, like I have a partner. My girlfriend, so yes, I would like to go to cafeterias or
maybe our restaurant. For like a nice restaurant because in the day is depends on the
place where it's so noisy don't like.
Orador 2
Yes, of course.
Orador 1
It. But yes, like it's a very place. First you choose your favorite coffee. That's so that's
the reason this is well, you can talk about your hobbies interests.
Orador
Romance.
Orador 1
Life and if you met before, you have something. Come on. You can talk about it
without, like, maybe if you are, I don't know. On a place that is like, I'm going to say. In
general, it's not like that great crowded. Yes, it's not so great in a in a coffee you can
sit, sit with your date, and there's not much people.
Orador 2
Probably. Nothing else.
Orador
Here.
Orador 1
For that person. Other things.
Orador 3
Do you recommend some cafeterias and?
Orador 2
Coffee shop. I only went to Rigby cafeteria and it's close to I went to the one that's still
my favorite. And then you have one on both kids that it's not.
Orador
Put it in a.
Orador 2
That good, but yes, it's.
Orador 1
That's right.
Orador 2
It's to eat pizza and you know it's not the best place, but I really, if I had the the option
to go there or not to a first date, I would definitely not choose it. I'm not the type of guy
who knows what to say in front of the other people. It's. It makes me nervous, you
know. No. I feel like, oh, what are we talking? What? What? I'm what I'm about to talk
now. And you know or feel the insecurity less about the other people, you know.
Orador 3
What about you, do you think? Where do you think is the best place for a first date? I
mean particular restaurant? Or a coffee shop.
Orador 1
What do you think?
Orador 4
Well. And I actually never had a date. No, no. Well, maybe the closest thing that we
hang out and maybe get some ice cream or something like that, but never went to, for
example, like a peteria. Or a restaurant. I never had. A date of the kind of that type.
Orador 1
We're going for a spring, is. A really good day.
Orador
Yeah.
Orador 1
You can judge the person said. Ohh you choose this touch you. I don't like. That's one
signal. Rejected ex. No. A red flag? Yes, that's that's the thing. Everyone has like, a
favorite restaurant based on the interest. But one thing that we can talk about is
maybe share some places that you know that the other person. We.
Orador
Like.
Orador 1
For example, I can say that he likes meat or something like that. I recommend some
meat, some for example. Or maybe a closer he close to here is another term that is
the handle Texas mid and is. Like. Behind the for my. It's all good I went there.
Orador 2
Country break.
Orador 1
100%.
Orador 3
Close to university.
Orador 1
Yes. And it's so good because I wanted to try like a BBQ a real BBQ because I see that
on series on and I was like basically.
Orador 3
You need do you know? If it's expensive.
Orador 1
Or Oh no, it's not expensive. Oh, no, it's not like cheap cheap, but it's normal. It's not
like cheap like you say. Oh, my God, that's gross.
Orador 3
Yeah. It's justified.
Orador 1
But. It's yes, but you can say expensive, but it's. Like this thing?
Orador 2
Which place would you don't recommend? See. Don't go. Please don't go.
Orador 1
3.
Orador 4
Everything, almost everything. So I'm very like. Accessible in that kind.
Orador 1
Of stuff. Do you have any?
Orador 2
One place I would not recommend. Maybe. Ah, I I I have. My mind in blank.
Orador 3
Will I get mine? I hope will relate. Doesn't hate me, but I don't like lesson tortures.
Orador 2
I like where is that is.
Orador
In.
Orador 2
That one of the center right.
Orador 3
Yes.
Orador 1
In the side of.
Orador 3
But I don't like basically.
Orador 2
What kind of what type of people? It was like my chicken. No, like meats.
Orador 1
Let's have touches breakfast. All right. Well, it's for all day, but. The main is.
Orador 2
Perfect. And what's the reason you don't like it?
Orador 1
Good. Yes, I want to. Hear about it. I. Maybe it doesn't, they?
Orador 3
Just it tastes and also the place I do. Like to be honest. No, I I do not recommend
anybody to go to lesson just.
Orador 1
Punch.
Orador
Yeah.

It's like.
Orador 1
Leave the long seafood.
Orador 3
Yeah. In front of El Pollo Feliz.
Orador 2

How many chicken? Oh yes.
Orador 3
What kind of food they?

JORGE: PASTA CARBONARA
Pasta Carbonara
Prep Time
10 mins
Cook Time
20 mins
Total Time
30 mins
Servings
4 to 6 servings
This recipe uses raw eggs, which are essentially cooked by tossing with hot pasta, just
enough to thicken into a sauce.
The garlic is optional. It is not usually included in pasta carbonara, but it tastes great
so we've included it. By the way, "guanciale", or pork jowl, is traditionally used in this
dish, so if you can get it, by all means use it.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil or unsalted butter
1/2 pound pancetta or thick cut bacon, diced
1 to 2 garlic cloves, minced, about 1 teaspoon (optional)
3 to 4 whole eggs
1 cup grated Parmesan or pecorino cheese
1 pound spaghetti (or bucatini or fettuccine)
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Method
Heat the pasta water:
Put a large pot of salted water on to boil (1 tablespoon salt for every 2 quarts of water.)
Sauté the pancetta or bacon and garlic:
While the water is coming to a boil, heat the olive oil or butter in a large sauté pan over
medium heat. Add the bacon or pancetta and cook slowly until crispy.
Add the garlic (if using) and cook another minute, then turn off the heat and put the
pancetta and garlic into a large bowl.
A skillet with chopped bacon and a wooden spoon to make Spaghetti Carbonara.
Karishma Pradhan
Beat the eggs and half of the cheese:
In a small bowl, beat the eggs and mix in about half of the cheese.
Cook the pasta:
Once the water has reached a rolling boil, add the dry pasta, and cook, uncovered, at
a rolling boil.
Toss the pasta with pancetta or bacon:
When the pasta is al dente (still a little firm, not mushy), use tongs to move it to the
bowl with the bacon and garlic. Let it be dripping wet. Reserve some of the pasta
water.
Move the pasta from the pot to the bowl quickly, as you want the pasta to be hot. It's
the heat of the pasta that will heat the eggs sufficiently to create a creamy sauce.
Toss everything to combine, allowing the pasta to cool just enough so that it doesn't
make the eggs curdle when you mix them in. (That's the tricky part.)
A pot of pasta with tongs moving the pasta to a bowl.
Karishma Pradhan
Add the beaten egg mixture:
Add the beaten eggs with cheese and toss quickly to combine once more. Add salt to
taste. Add some pasta water back to the pasta to keep it from drying out.

Serve at once with the rest of the parmesan and freshly ground black pepper. If you
want, sprinkle with a little fresh chopped parsley.

Week 6
On this Week 6 we did some speaking excercises with our teams, we talked about how technology affected the environment, our lifes and health, in this case I talked with Joyden about wearable technology.
My reflections is that us as humans need to think better if technology is really helping us to our academic, social and personal life, that is ine thing that this activity put me to think about it.
Here's the Week 6 Task and the transcription of it:
Team 6:
Conversation with me (Loreley Rodríguez Cruz) and Joyden
Word count: 276
Verb Count: 1
Could wearable technology become a standard part of our daily lives and how? I think it could become a standard part, yes. It has already started to be a standard part of our daily lives because we have smartwatches, speakers, smart clothing, I remember that I saw some clothes that have sensor monitors like geometric data and they check like the heart rate and muscle activity.
Maybe like the glasses with cameras on that I saw that too and I don't know, yes. Well I disagree in some parts, but 50 -50 because maybe if you would like renovate the clothing because in some bamboo based clothing and some things like that that we're probably not gonna use, never.
Or maybe the stretch mount that is like look like popcorn, never used that before, so yeah me too. It's ugly, so it's ugly, it's something that you know you don't want to expensive to. It's something that you do not use, but smartwatches, something like that, yes.
Even backpacks have chargers, USB, I like those, they are practical, but the clothing itself, I think no. Me neither, yes, I agree with you. Because there is some definition that is fast fashion when you like with the chain what else something so we were the dog you produces a lot of clothes that later is a trash style so it's like a tunnel have a good quality yes and it contaminates the seas and also uses a lot of water to make a piece of clothes yes you need to use a lot of water so yes it's not it's not useful yes okay yes i agree
Week 7
In this week 7 the things we did was a Thesis Statement and Skeleton Outline for an essay.
My reflection is that for me (a student who passed directly to first semester) this activity was really difficult, I don't think that I get the enough time to really understand how to do this, I hope that on the next time we do an essay we could get more time (or for me and my classmates who passed directly we could get more information and explanations).
Here is the Week 7 Mini Task

Week 8
In this week 8 we completed the essay.
My reflection is that I think that this type of activities are really difficult but necessary for us to really improve in our written english.
Here is the Week 8 Mini Task
How post-pandemic affected the education nowadays to teachers and students
To understand how we can resolve the big problem that is the post-pandemic education
we need to know the possible solutions to that, teachers should know that the majority of
this students are delayed on their subject's knowledge and need to solve this in a way
that is easy and effective, today's schools are very familiar with technology but not on the
best they can, so to address this situation the teachers should make the classes more
technological, interesting and caring about the students hard academic situation
(Bradshaw et al., 2010).
To contribute repassing and viewing past topics shown during the Pandemic the teachers
should create new strategies for addressing this problem, so it can be creating a supportive
and inclusive classroom environment and is important because helps to build a supportive
inclusive classroom environment, teachers should prioritize the student's well-being by
fostering a sense of belonging and promoting open communication. It's stated that this is
critical to re-enforce and re-engaging students and combat apathy. Not only does this help
to create a positive school climate, but also to improve behavioral challenges that the
pandemic brought and persists (Freeman et al., 2014).
Other point is that the teachers should contribute to create new ways of
teaching using technology, they can set clear technology policies this being took to action
by establishing and enforcing clear policies regarding the use of the cellphone in class, to
the student be conscious that the excessive screen time is something that can cause
various diseases and last but not least to incorporate technology mindfully by integrating
technology into the classroom to use it purposefully to enhance learning rather than a
substitute for meaningful interaction and this can engage students without contributing to
addiction, the teachers should aim to strike a balance between digital and non-digital
activities (Durlak et al., 2011).
Teachers should contribute to the motivation of the students about school and
learning by promoting collaboration and peer support and that consists on encouraging
collaboration among the students and the teacher by using school-wide initiatives that
might be SEL, developing a comprehensive behavior management and foster a positive
school climate that help both of them, so taking to account this information the main help
we can do to really approach and solve this problem is that the teachers must make a nice
environment to the students in order to make them comfortable and excited to attend
school. (Deci & Ryan, 2020)..
To really address this problem we need to think about how COVID-19 really affected
the education because of most of the teachers and students complained the pandemic
on the education recently, accessible way to about the drastic change that teachers
need to use technology in an accomplish a new way of teaching and learning they
contribute to viewing the past topics that in the Pandemic were not taught properly
because , they contribute to create new ways of teaching using the new and coming
technology and they contribute to the motivation of the students about the school and
learning.

8) (Loreley) The forest will always be a place of wonder and beauty, as long as people remember to protect it. Generations to come will be exploring the forest, discovering its secrets, and learning from its wisdom. By the time the next century arrives, the forest will have witnessed countless stories and will have inspired many more. For centuries, the forest will have been standing as a symbol of nature's resilience and the importance of environmental stewardship.
9) (Loreley) And so, the enchanted forest remained a sanctuary for all who sought its magic. It was a place where dreams came true, and where the beauty of nature was celebrated. The legacy of the forest was passed down through generations, a reminder of the delicate balance between humans and the environment.

CAE I Week 10 Mini Task
Alex: Absolutely. We should be educating more people about these solutions. I have been volunteering at a local school to teach kids about recycling and conservation. It's important to instill these values in the younger generation.
Alex said that we should be educating more people about this solution and that he's been volunteering to local schools to teach kids about recycling and conservation.
Jamie: That's wonderful, Alex. If everyone does their part, we can make a significant impact. I will start by reducing my plastic use and encouraging others to do the same. Small changes can lead to big results.
Jamie mentioned that if everyone does their part we can make a significant impact also that we will start reducing his plastic use and encouraging other to do the same.
Taylor: Great plan! I have been using reusable bags and containers for a while now. It makes a big difference in reducing waste. Plus, it's such an easy switch to make.
-Taylor said that she's been using reusable bags and containers for a while now and that it makes a big difference.
Alex: Every little bit helps. Together, we can create a more sustainable future. Speaking of which, I have been researching ways to reduce water usage at home. Simple things like fixing leaks and using water-efficient appliances can save a lot of water.
Alex expressed that we could create a more sustainable future and that he's been researching ways to reduce water usage at home and we can save a lot of water.
Jamie: That's a great point. Water conservation is crucial, especially with the increasing frequency of droughts. I have been considering installing a rainwater harvesting system. It would allow us to collect and use rainwater for gardening and other non-potable uses.
Jamie said that he have been considering installing a rainwater harvesting system and that would allow us to collect and use the rainwater.
Taylor: That's a brilliant idea, Jamie. I have seen some really innovative rainwater harvesting systems that are both efficient and easy to maintain. Plus, it reduces the strain on our municipal water supply.
Taylor shared that she have seen some really innovative rainwater harvesting systems that reduces the strain on our municipal water supply.
Alex: Speaking of innovative solutions, I have heard about vertical farming. It could revolutionize the way we grow food, especially in urban areas where space is limited. By growing crops in vertically stacked layers, we can maximize space and resources.
Alex mentioned that he have heard about vertical farming and that could revolutionize the way we grow food and we can maximize space and resources.
Jamie: Vertical farming is fascinating. It has been shown to use less water and pesticides compared to traditional farming methods. Plus, it can provide fresh produce year-round, regardless of the season.
Jamie said that the vertical farming has been shown to use less water and pesticides and that can provide fresh produce year-round.
Taylor: That's true. If more cities adopted vertical farming, we could reduce the environmental impact of transporting food over long distances. It would also support local economies by creating jobs and providing fresh, locally grown produce.
Taylor shared that if more cities adopted vertical farming we could reduce the environmental impact of transporting food over long distances and that it would also support local economies
Week 11
On this 11th Week we saw reported speech and direct quotes. The topic of the week was fashion trends, so I talked with various people and choose the ones that I liked the most, those conversations were recorded and took to do the table.
Reflection: During this week I was very stressed out because of the week we did the expossitory essay, but this activity made me relax. I have never learned before what reported speech was, and I learned from Teacher Ben. I think that the use of videos as an assignment its a good tool, also that are more dynamic than writting.
Here is the Week 11 Mini Task

Week 12
On Week 12 we had the Halloween Event, so we didn't had classes, but Teacher Ben was our tutor during this event.
Reflection: During this event I enjoyed everything that we did, the only thing I really don't like is that the fact that we were going to apply the activities to children, but the children didn't stay long to be able to play with every team, so that is one thing I didn't like the most, but except for that I thing that is really good for our department to do this events, even I made Teacher Ben a pin, hope he still have it!
Here is the Week 12 Mini Task
In this link you can access the video that our team did! The team members were: Loreley Rodríguez Cruz (Me), Ximena Delgado Flota, Aida Avila Delgadillo and Victor Hugo Gomez Morales.
Week 13
On this Week 13 we talked about what traditions and festivals around the world.
Reflection: It was difficult to reaaly think about a tradition that were not mexican related, and even to think in one that have to have a thing related with the other traditions that my team members had, but making that apart I really enjoyed doing this activity, in fact, is one of my favorites, I got to talk about a interesting festival that I wanted to investigate more by the time.
Here is the Week 13 Mini Task
Week 14
On this week 14 we interviewed a person who has a lot of professional experience and/or education and made a table and reported speech based on the things that the person said.
Reflection: So, starting with this, I think that the interview was a cool tool, something that can help us to see if we want to become the person that we want to be, also, it help me to increase my knowledge on how to use Notion and my reported speech and first and second conditional.

Week 15
On this Week 15 we started to do the persuasive essay. We did the Problem statement, Introduction paragraph, first body paragraph, thesis statement, skeleton outline and finally the conclusion paragraph.
Reflection: On this week I was feeling stressed out, for me it is dificult to write and grammar itself, but it was easier for me then, because I asked Teacher Ben and some of my classmates for feedback, for me the process of making essays are very difficult because I was not used to do that, but I think I improved my writing thanks to Teacher Ben.
Here is the Week 15 a), b) and c) Mini Task
THESIS STATEMENT
Because ELT students want to learn about the effect that classical music have and see if that creates a bad or positive environment on the classroom in an ESL class, ELT students should learn how to teach and apply the introduction of music on English classes because English language teachers with experience use classical music as a resource while teaching.
SKELETON OUTLINE
English language teachers can use classical music to improve the student's attention and create a healthy environment on the classroom...
-
-
The use of classical music while the students write or complete an activity can be proved to be positive, so using classical music while studying can provide...
-
-
ESL teachers can make improvements in the student's attention and academic performance, to help the ones that could be struggling, ESL teachers can get more experienced about capturing the learner's attention...
INTRODUCTION PARAGRAPH
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. -Nelson Mandela, starting with this quote, we are going to discuss how and why the use of classical music can be helpful to the progress of an English class, what a good impact this can cause on students who have certain problems with concentration or attention. Lewis (s. f.) states based on a study where first graders were listening to classical music while studying, "However, some studies have shown that when music is played during learning experiences there is more retention of the material", Because ELT students want to learn about the effect that classical music have and see if that creates a positive environment on a English class, ELT students should learn how to teach and apply the introduction of music on English classes because that allow English language teachers to see the results of the use of classical music on a English class, that allow teacher trainers to apply the usage of classical music on a English class and that allow to get to know the positive result that the use of classical music have on kids and with what parts of their possible problems could be helped by the use of classical music
BODY PARAGRAPH
Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself. - John Dewey, considering this, because classical music allows English Language teachers to see the results of the use of classical music on an English class, we need to look at some studies that have been made, Mikulski y Mikulski (2024) stated that "One of the main arguments for introducing classical music into education is its potential to stimulate the brain. Scientific studies have shown that listening to classical music can improve concentration, memory, mathematical abilities, and logical thinking. Classical music, due to its harmonic-melodic complexity, requires focus and attention, which helps develop analytical skills and logical reasoning." with this we can say that the use of classical music is very positive, and we can see the results by looking at this study and the one stated on the introduction.
CONCLUSION PARAGRAPH
Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another. -Gilbert K. Chesterton, considering the positive effects that the use of classical music can do in a English class, the importance of this topic is essential to newcomer teachers that are learning new ways of teaching and how to do that in a more fun way, I hope that the use of not only classical music, but other genres could really help teachers or English Language Teaching students to implement them on their studies/classes. To finish this argument, we can state that using classical music daily in our classrooms can help us to create a good environment, a good way of getting the student's attention and to progress the course of the class in an excellent and clear way.
Week 16
On this Week 16 we got some feedback about the Week 15 and sent the final draft of our persuasive essay.
Reflection: To be honest this was stressful, so much, and I think I wasn't the only one but to be honest the feedback that Teacher Ben help me a lot on this essay and the redo that I did on the expossitory essay, but I don't have a bad review on this activity, I think that is important for me to increase my abilities on grammar.
Here is the Week 16 Final Project
Classical music's role in modern education
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world -Nelson Mandela. Discussing how and why the use of classical music can be helpful to the progress of an English class, it is proved by Lewis from ED.gov that ("However, some studies have shown that when music is played during learning experiences there is more retention of the material"), (Lewis, s. f.). When students of English Language Teaching are learning information of how to make a class progressive and positive they encounter with the topic of the use of music, more specific, classical music. This information can cent the question of if this new tool of teaching really helps students in an English class to improve their attention and knowledge. Taking into account this information we can state that the use of classical music in an English class can really improve their achievement. To improve the achievement of students of an English class with music, students of English Language Teaching should use the classical music during the assignments made in class to see the effects, students of English Language Teaching should learn how to implement the use of classical music on an English class and students of English Language Teaching should investigate why do they should try using classical music in an English class.
Students of English Language Teaching should use the classical music during the assignments made in class to see the effects. To prove the efficiency of testing this, a study made by Lewis from ED.gov found that the use of classical music improved the CARE environment, (Lewis, s. f.). Also, according to another study made by National University states that (Music activates both the left and right brain at the same time, and the activation of both hemispheres can maximize learning and improve memory), (Bethtbf, 2023). These findings suggest the studies and benefits that classical music does, that is
not only to retain information easily, but also that improve their memory, and this is important for the students to acquire to pass exams or do assignments. Understanding the studies and benefits of using classical music can improve and get students of English Language Teaching to apply this method on their future classes.
Students of English Language Teaching should learn how to implement the use of classical music on an English class. A 2023 study made by Classical Academic Press states some tips and advice of how to apply classical music on a classroom, it is saying that ("using classical music, in particular, offers myriad benefits, from cognitive development to emotional intelligence and cultural appreciation"), (Embrace the Harmony: How to Integrate Classical Music Into Your Lesson Plans, 2023b). Also, another study made by BusyTeacher states that (It won't be for everyone, but in every group, I've worked with, there have been several students who have later been very grateful for being guided through the initial steps of understanding and enjoying this music.). (Dixon, 2015). These findings emphasize how to apply the use of classical music in a classroom, in a way that most of the students enjoy and understand every topic seen in class. Understanding this information, we can continue to explain why students of English Language Teaching should apply the use of classical music in an English class.
Students of English Language Teaching should investigate why do they should try using classical music in an English class. A study from 2024 made from American Music Institute states that (One of the most immediate benefits of engaging with classical music is its ability to evoke deep emotional responses. Whether playing a piece by Bach or listening to a Beethoven symphony, the intricate melodies and harmonies of classical music can lead to profound emotional experiences. This emotional engagement is not
just artistically fulfilling but also therapeutically beneficial.), (Admin, 2024). Also, another study made by USC states that (The researchers speculated that music puts students in a heightened emotional state, making them more receptive to information. ("It is possible that music, provoking a change in the learning environment, influenced the students' motivation to remain focused during the lecture, which led to better performance on the multiple-choice quiz,"), (Medzerian, 2023). These findings highlight how using classical music can have therapeutic and motivation benefits, leading to the answer that, yes, using classical music can improve the student's behavior.
In conclusion, students of English Language Teaching should use the classical music during the assignments made in class to see the effects, students of English Language Teaching should learn how to implement the use of classical music on an English class and students of English Language Teaching should investigate why do they should try using classical music in an English class. New-come teachers need to research new ways of teaching, as time passes the kids need new ways of learning. Students of English Language Teaching need to acquire the knowledge of different types of teaching, even tool that are greatly new. And teachers that are now teaching need to search for other ways of keeping the students' attention, improving their achievement and increasing their memory, so that it can be useful for them in the future.
